Laptop-Optimized Backup Scheduling
ACRONIS DATA CLOUD | WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 7.822
New backup scheduling rules for laptops allow you to: • Save battery power by preventing backups when running on battery • Prevent backup over metered connection (e.g. mobile hotspot) • Perform backup jobs only in specific networks by specifying a designated IP range • Wake up the machine or prevent it from sleeping during the scheduled backup
Bootable Media Registration via OAuth 2.0
ACRONIS DATA CLOUD | WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 7.823
Access to backups in Acronis Cloud Storage through the bootable media is now available via OAuth 2.0 authentication. Registering the bootable media in the backup service ensures:
• Straightforward access to Acronis Cloud Storage backups under the registered media • Simplified user experience – no need to remember login/password • Support of 3d-party IDPs – when credentials are not available in our Account service • Authorization code is more secure than specifying credentials on someone else’s machine
Proxy Server Access Using Credentials
ACRONIS DATA CLOUD | WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 7.824
You can now specify credentials when connecting the backup agent to a proxy server.
Add and remember credentials: • During agent installation • In the media builder • In the media itself (including with restore from reboot)
Note: Only tunnel-type proxies are supported (using HTTP CONNECT method). Man-inthe-middle proxies are not supported.
